LEONNEKE W.

What touches me is how a simple act of mercy can change someone's life forever.

My name is Leonneke, I am 72 years old and live in Oegstgeest. I have been active as a violinist with the Goodnewstruck for about a year.

When I was 65, I was in a wheelchair with a shattered ankle. In the dunes of Katwijk, a young man approached me and asked if he could pray for me. Then he asked if I believed that Jesus had died on the cross for my sins. Before I knew it, I had said "yes," even though I did not know God at all yet. That moment is very special to me because it shows how God uses mercy to reach people; one evangelist stepped out, and my life changed forever.

In addition, I have a special love for children and young adults. I long for them, in particular, to discover who Jesus is and how much He loves them at a young age. That is why I am going along to Romania. I hope that we may touch people's hearts through music and the proclamation of the Gospel. I also look forward to stepping out together with other Christians and providing practical care for the Roma. I hope that we may not only share God's love, but also make a difference in their living conditions.

In the Bible, we read that God desires mercy, not sacrifice. I believe that mercy toward our neighbor is one of the most beautiful forms of worship. That is precisely why this journey appeals to me so much: making God's love visible through both music and acts of mercy.

It would be awesome if we can make a difference together for the people we reach and fundraise at least €500 for materials, foodpackages, goodiebags for kids and other expenses for the outreaches in Santana, Pancota, Siria and Brasov.

With your support, you help bring the Gospel and make practical aid possible.

Thank you for supporting this outreach and God bless,

Leonneke
